What is a ReStore?
Restores accept donations of new and gently used building materials and household goods.
ReStores then sells those items to the public at a fraction of the retail price.
Restores then uses the proceeds to achieve Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities and hope.
The ReStore Mission:
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a building materials recycling/reuse center that accepts donations of new and used building materials and home furnishings from a variety of sources and sells these items to the public at bargain prices. The ReStore serves as a financial partner in the construction of new Habitat homes, as proceeds from purchases provide funding for the construction of Habitat homes in Abilene, while reducing the amount of solid waste that goes into our landfill.
Why donate your items to ReStore?
Your donation may be tax deductible. Businesses and individuals can get a tax break for donating items to ReStore.
We may pick it up. Have leftover materials, appliances or furniture from your last remodel? Call ReStore and we may be able to pick up your large items.
Your donated building materials, furniture and appliances help to make remodeling projects more affordable, improving our neighborhoods.
